Our final Leaves photos

 Dear Matthew, Toby and Josie,

Well it's May again! This time of year always sneaks up on me because I know the leaves are falling at Ma Ma and Gumps' house, and so we try to get over these for our annual photos, but it'll rain, or someone will be sick, or we have after-school activities, until we inevitably get the stern talking-to from Ma Ma and Gumps: 'Come NOW, the tree is almost completely bare!'. We managed to get over to their house in time and I'm so glad we did because this may have in fact been our very last time, as Ma Ma and Gumps are about to put their house on the market. It was a bittersweet day as we're excited that they will be moving on to a new house like they want to, but sad that they'll be leaving our family home of 28 years. We are even more sad that they'll be moving to Mandurah so won't be in our lives as much as they usually were.

But anyway! Boys you put up with the inevitable camera in your face thanks to small acts of bribery however Josie, as usual, you didn't want to play. After a few attempts where you just screamed the house down, I told you that I would be 'changing your nappy' so you should lie down. Somehow this meant you were happy to lay down in the leaves so long as I acted like I was changing your nappy and vuola! We got a snap of you looking, if not happy, at least not absolutely hate-filled haha! I'm calling it a win. Boys you had fun running through the leaves as usual. I think we'll have to scope out another location next year if Ma Ma and Gumps do sell their house, because after ten years your mum isn't giving up on this one just yet!

Love you all,

April school holidays

Dear Matthew, Toby and Josie

With interest rates going up 11 out of the last 12 months, and already having three mini-holidays this year, we had a very low-key school holidays. Tobes, you started your Auskick for the first time and Matt you returned to your usual footy team. Tobes and Josie, we took a trip to Scitech which you both loved and Matt we made Anzac biscuits together for Anzac Day. Your cousins Rose and Ava came over for a play one day when there was a full eclipse of the sun and the town of Exmouth was plunged into complete darkness for a minute. Tobes you had a birthday party at the spaceship park and we caught up with your friend Jack at the park down the road too. Matt you had three sleepovers, two with friends and one with your cousin Harry, all at our place. Josie you enjoyed your usual lining up of toys and just pottering around the house, while tagging along to all your big brother's events. It was a pretty chilled holidays!

Love you all,
