Strawberry picking

Dear Matthew and Toby

For the first time we recently went strawberry picking, something I have wanted to do for many years. Luckily, despite the quite hot weather, we ventured out to Kiens Strawberry Farm to pick the strawberries as it was the last weekend of the season so we almost missed the boat.

We had a great time walking up and down the isles locating fresh red strawberries and scoffing our faces as we went. You both enjoyed finding the strawberries hidden under the leaves and listening to the pop sound they make when you pull them off their stems. We eventually ended up picking quite a few kilos of strawberries (maybe 12?) in our boxes and called it a day in order to escape the heat. It was a great family activity and hopefully we can make it an annual event.

Afterwards we met your nanna and Darryl at the Henley for lunch as we weren't far from their house. Matt you got to ride on the horse and carriage that was making laps in the field near by and you both had fun playing in the kids play area and drinking milkshakes with lunch. It was a great day!

Love you boys,

Mum xxx
