The start of the silly season

Dear Matthew

To start our December we had your grandma, gramps, uncle Andrew and aunty Robyn over to help set up the Christmas tree. As usual we had a family dinner and put our family Christmas movie, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, on in the background.

This was the first year where you got really into it and you and I shared a beautiful moment where you put an angel on the tree after watching me hang some decorations and I nearly cried. Christmas is so important to us and I love the fact that you've really gotten into it!

We've also been walking around the neighbourhood looking at Christmas lights and helped the Constable's put up the original family Christmas tree.

All my love,

Our third wedding anniversary

Dear Matthew

At the end of last month we celebrated it having been three years since your dad and I got married. It's been a crazy three years with plenty of ups and downs but the most important thing our marriage has given us is you, and for that I am eternally grateful.

We celebrated by having dinner together at the place where our reception was held, at the Esplanade Hotel in Fremantle. As usual, it was so much more fun with you there - this seems to have become my mantra for life at the moment (except for when we're food shopping!). We played hide and seek around the tables and chairs and enjoyed the beautiful spring evening eating outside.

Afterwards we went across the road to the park for you to have a play. It was a very special night.

Love you my gorgeous boy.
