Mother's group catch up and Toby's first haircut

Dear Matthew and Toby

On the weekend before Christmas we caught up with our original Mother's Group. We reenacted the photo I had taken of Charlotte, Matt and Chloe when they were a few months old (maybe 3 or 4?) and then we took a photo including the five extra children that have joined the group since then!

We also had a swim in Hayley's pool and did a lucky dip Secret Santa which you both loved.

It was so nice for the families to catch up, especially given the journey we have all been on together throughout parenthood. I hope you stay friends with these kids your whole lives (Chloe and Lily are at your school so it might be easier with them!).

Toby, you also received your first haircut, by your dad, just a few chops off the back! You kept turning around when you could feel him touching your hair but he persevered and managed to tidy it slightly. Hopefully we'll get you a proper haircut soon!

Love you boys,

Christmas Eve

Dear Matthew and Toby

For Christmas Eve this year we had planned to go to the river with your cousins, but unfortunately they all came down with food poisoning and so we had to delay that for a week.

Instead we went to your granddad and Maree's house for a lovely lunch including some crayfish! Matt you played with Rio, who is a friend of granddad's and Maree's from Japan and was visiting them. In the evening we went to Ma Ma and Gumps' house (as we were staying over the night) and had a beautiful summer dinner out the front with them, Kieran and Aunty Robyn.

Before we headed off to bed we put out the carrots for reindeer and milk for Santa. There's some great photos below of Toby trying to steal these off your plate Matt- the look on your face is priceless! Matt you also put out a puzzle for Santa to complete.

After you both went to bed, Santa came to visit (see photo) and dropped off the huge bundle of presents, ready for you to open on Christmas morning! He also did the puzzle!

Love you both,
