End of term one and basketball

Dear Matthew, Toby and Josie

Well term one has gone past in the blink of an eye! We celebrated with McDonalds ice creams and a movie night. Easter is almost upon us and at playgroup we did some art and an Easter egg hunt that you loved Josie. We also decorated some foam Easter eggs to put on Ma Ma's Easter tree. 

Matt, you also finished your first term of basketball training and you absolutely loved it so we will continue on with it next term. Luckily your two mates Oliver and Liam also signed up for the same program so you got to enjoy training with them too. You seem really dedicated to it and you're now constantly bouncing a ball around the house! It's great to see you so engaged in this sport.

Josie's climbing and backyard destruction beings!

Dear Matthew, Toby and Josie

In the leadup to Easter, Matt and Tobes, you went to your Nanna and Darryl's house for a sleepover for a few days (and loved it!). While you were gone, your dad started his destruction of the backyard in the lead up to installing the pool in August. Below are before photos, and some mid-destruction. Your dad ended up filling a 9 cubic metre skip bin with mostly cement and gravel. We also had people come and collect the gravel for free (thank goodness!). We still have a fair way to go but are slowly getting there. 

I had to include the cute below photos of your little legs Josie in our closet! As I mentioned in a previous post, you love climbing, but also hiding and it's just ridiculously cute (until I can't find you or you're running along the dining room table that is!). 

Anyway, our big goal for 2022 was to get the pool installed for you kid to enjoy, so here's to small steps that will add up to lots of family memories being made!

Matt's Merit Award and Harmony Day

Dear Matthew, Toby and Josie

I couldn't help but include all these gorgeous photos of you all that I've taken recently, you are all just so cute!! 

Matt you also got a merit certificate this week for getting 100% on your maths test! We are just so proud of you buddy, you are working so hard and it's really paying off. You seem to just be able to figure out numbers/equations so easily, but you also put in the time and effort with your homework to practice these. Unfortunately due to covid restrictions I wasn't able to come to your school to see you get it but we celebrated together after school. 

Boys, your school also celebrated Harmony Day recently so you both went to school dressed in orange and celebrated all the different cultures and traditions of your school friends. 

Josie, you and I took a wander along the river and you loved just chilling and playing in the sand. You've also become obsessed with avocados and will easily eat a whole one yourself! Matt, you have also enjoyed playing Wordle like me, your Ma Ma and Aunty Robyn do, and you've managed to figure out the word on your own quite a few times! So clever :)
