Christmas Eve

Dear Matthew and Toby

Christmas Eve this year was a beautifully relaxing day spent mainly at home. Toby and I watched Christmas Vacation while Matt and your dad went to the shops for some last minute necessities. In the evening we took a stroll up the park before walking around the neighbourhood looking for Christmas lights. Once we got home we put out Santa's magic key (so Santa can get into the house as we don't have a chimney). Matt, you chose to put the key on the recycling bin :) We then put out carrots for the reindeer and some biscuits and water for Santa. Your dad then read Matt a Christmas bedtime story before it was time for bed.

As you can see from the last couple of photos, Santa and his reindeer made their visit to our house not long after!

Love you boys,

Constable Christmas

Dear Matthew and Toby

A couple of days before Christmas we had a Christmas lunch at Ma Ma and Gumps' house for my side of the family (this Christmas it's your dad's sides' turn to have the bulk of Christmas day). My aunty Jeany and cousins were over from Queensland and we have been going over your grandparents house a lot while they stayed there and 'your friends' as Matt refers to them as have been absolutely doting on the two of you. Anyway they were there along with my siblings, Aunty and Uncle Bruno, the Ness's and the Philips'. We had a delicious lunch and Matt you enjoyed playing bocce (and you were really good at it), then after lunch had a water balloon fight and a swim in the pool with the cousins, your dad, Aunty Robyn and Kieran.

We also exchanged presents with Aunty Robyn and Kieran as they were going to Kieran's mums' house in Brisbane for Christmas. One of our presents to Aunty Robyn was a frame with a photo inside asking Aunty Robyn to be your godmother, Toby. She was so excited and I know she's going to be a great godmother as she loves you two boys to death.

It was a lovely afternoon of eating and enjoying everyone's company.

Love you boys,
