Dear Matthew and Toby
This month we celebrated Tobes turning 1! What a quick, beautiful year it has been. To celebrate we held an afternoon tea with immediate family - Ma Ma, Gumps, Aunty Robyn, Kieran, Nanna, Darryl, Grandad, Maree, Aunty Chantel, Andrew and all your cousins.
The night before we made your cake (while you slept Toby!) and Matt you helped decorate it as you can see from the photos below. It was so lovely to see you taking responsibility for decorating it Matt, you have become the most wonderful big brother to Toby.
In the morning we woke up and showed Toby his presents which Matt you helped unwrap. Your presents included an electric toothbrush because you're obsessed with Matt's one Tobes, a puzzle of your name and an elephant ring toss game. You also received presents from family later in the day, including your now highly coveted lawnmower from Nanna and Darryl (you are obsessed with watching your dad mow the lawn and then like to climb on and off the lawnmower afterwards getting all greasy).
When we sung happy birthday to Toby I cracked up because Matt blew out the candle and then afterwards you devoured the cake Tobes! It was a beautifully relaxed afternoon together and we all enjoyed the sunshine that had appeared at the start of Spring.
Toby please know you are so very loved and we have had such a wonderful first year with you, darling boy. Thank you for being such a joy.
