Dear Matthew and Toby
Before Christmas day we managed to find time to get together with both my side of the extended family and your dad's. This is no mean feat given everyone's crazy schedules and that we have many blended families in the mix too!
So on the Thursday evening before Christmas Ma Ma and Gumps hosted everyone who was available on my side of the family at their house for Christmas dinner. On this side of the family you have about a dozen second cousins (or first cousins twice removed?) and you had a great time playing with all the kids. As you can see from the photos of the kids' tables below, it was hectic! But so wonderful to see the next generation of Constable/Melia kids getting together. Of course Ma Ma made sure everyone got a present, even the adults!
A few days later on the Sunday we went to your Nanna's house for Christmas lunch with your cousins (as they were going to be with their other parents at Christmas so we wouldnt have the chance to see them this year). We had a lovely yummy lunch and swim in the pool and of course, more presents! You boys were spoilt with gifts before the big day had even arrived!
Anyway it's been a lovely lead up to the big day doing what matters most - spending time with and connecting with our family members.
