Dear Matthew, Toby and Josie
Merry Christmas my beautiful kidliwinks! The big day had finally
arrived and Santa had made his delivery! As you can see from the photos below,
you all got a massive loot and were utterly spoit with bikes, pool noodles,
lego, books, a tent, fighting robots etc etc etc!!
After all the presents were opened we had waffles on our new
waffle maker, and somehow I even got to sneak in a nap with Josie – easily my
best Christmas gift!!
At lunchtime your Ma Ma, Gumps, Aunty Robyn and Uncle Andrew came over and we opened even more presents. For lunch we had the yummy spread you see below and had a lazy afternoon chilling at our place. This is the first year that we have been able to have Christmas in our own home since your dad and I started going out over 16 years ago. We have always been jetsetting around, some Christmases to five different locations in one day even, so it was SO wonderful to not have to get in the car, especially with little kids, and MOST especially because it was 44 degrees! So we cranked the air con and got out the water slide for you all. Next Christmas our pool will be in which will be even more awesome!
In the afternoon Uncle Andrew helped you put together your police lego station Tobes, while Gumps taught you to play chess Matt, and while Josie slept Ma Ma, Aunty Robyn, daddy and I played a fun Christmas card game (sort of like charades) and we laughed and laughed. We scoffed our face with dessert and it was one of my most favourite Christmases ever because it was so chilled, simple and fun.
