Josie at 9 months

Dear Matthew, Toby and Josie,

Three quarters of a year with you Jose! Here's my summary from Instagram for the month:

We’ve had another busy month this month Jose! We moved house and you’ve enjoyed being able to roam around in a bigger space, and I’ve enjoyed being able to keep an eye on you while I’m in the kitchen. We turned your seat around in the car which has meant you’re much happier in the car now, thank goodness given for a while you started screaming the second we’d get near the car. Luckily lots of our family and friends have helped with school runs to reduce your time in the car. You’ve now got five teeth and you’re eating heaps of different food (and eating crackers just like Matt did, putting them in your mouth vertically rather than horizontally). You can stand alone for about five second but you’re still doing your best to navigate our one step in our new house, getting annoyed every time you want to go down it but can’t figure out how to crawl down backwards just yet. You’re waving goodbye to everyone as they drive away or hanging up on FaceTime. You are still sleeping well and my favourite time of day is when we get to snuggle before bedtime. We’ve only got a couple of months left together till I’m back at work so I’m going to savour the time together 💜

Love you my beautiful kiddies,

Leaves!

Dear Matthew, Toby and Josie

Well it was that time of year again recently where the beautiful big (ginormous) tree in Ma Ma and Gump's backyard was shedding it's leaves again, and it was the perfect excuse to go for a play and get our yearly photos! I can't believe it was our eighth year of photos, and your first Josie! And as you can see from the photos below, you were NOT into it!! I don't think I got one smiling photo of you in the leaves, but you had fun playing with your grandparents in them at least. Boys, you have both gotten to the age now where I can ask you to lay down in the leaves for our usual photo and you both smile on cue! Only a few more years of attempting to get a smile out of you Josie and we'll be able to have a photo of all three of you smiling together in them haha! Nonetheless you boys had a great time playing with the neighbourhood kids in the massive piles that your grandparents had raked and being covered from head to toe in them. I love this tradition and hope you'll always let me take your annual photos in leaves until you're old, just like your traditional Santa photos. They make me ridiculously happy, and I love to look at each year's photos and see how much you've changed in the seasons between the last lot of photos.

Love you all,

Mum xxx
