Dear Matthew, Josie and Toby
As had become tradition, we spent Christmas Eve at Adventure World with your cousins, Aunty Chantel, Uncle Andrew, Nanna, Darryl, Grandad, Maree and your dad's stepsister's family.
Thankfully the temperature wasn't forty degree plus like last year and we had set up shop under some beautiful big shady trees for the day. Matt you had a great time with your cousins going on all sorts of rides, Tobes you went with daddy and Aunty Chantel, Uncle Andrew and Darryl on some rides including the monorail, and Josie you went with me and Mikayla to the kids swimming pool for a dip. We exchanged presents and had some yummy lunch together and you even had a little nap in the shelter we'd brought with us Tobes! Josie you loved the bubbles I was blowing everywhere and when Mikayla would swing you around.
In the afternoon we wished everyone a merry Christmas and headed home to get ready for the big guy's appearance later that night. We got into our matching Christmas pajamas, sprinkled magic reindeer food on the driveway, put out carrots, biscuits and milk and read 'The Night Before Christmas' together. We also tracked Santa on the satelite and made sure you were all in bed asleep before he made his stop in Perth. You were all very excited for the next day and I loved being part of the magic. It is such a gift to be your mum, but in this particular season of all three kids still believing in the magic of Christmas, I feel especially blessed.
