Dear Matthew, Toby and Josie,
This month we celebrated your Gumps turning 60. We are so lucky to have all the coronavirus restrictions lifted so that we can celebrate freely. Your Gumps decided to have lunch at his place for 20 of his most important people. As you can see from the photos below, Ma Ma had set up their place beautifully and your Aunty Robyn and I had put together a photo board for your Gumps (which to be honest, including heaps of photos of you boys!).
We had a great lunch celebrating your Gumps, he gave a speech, as did your Aunty Robyn and I and we all ate a delicious cake your Aunty Robyn had made. As you can see from the photos at the bottom of this blog, your Gumps cares for you all deeply. We are so blessed to have him in our lives and I am so grateful for the positive role model he is, especially for you boys. Tobes, you seem to share a particularly special bond with Gumps, perhaps because you are both second-born sons, but apart from me, he is the person you are most attached to and most happy to play with. Whenever you see Gumps you can't but insist that he play lego with you, and he more often than not obliges. Matt, you taught Gumps how to be a grandfather and I think you two will always have that special link. Josie, you are his first granddaughter and no doubt as your bond grows you will also come to love your Gumps.
